They were very helpful and of course very busy. But you have to go there in person...not just call, especially if it's near tax season.

My call went unanswered and the voicemail message was recorded by a child. Im not being insulting, it was an actual child's voice reading me a message that basically said to go to the IRS website. I should note that I called at 11:30am so I would assume they should be in the office and not out to lunch or not open yet. Do yourself a favor and just wait for them to contact you. Any attempt of mine to ever reach someone helpful who is associated with the IRS has been unsuccessful. They are all worthless jerks and the only training they seem to have is in the art of bullshit. Suck a bowl of dicks.
My experience calling this office was like any other experience ive had dealing with the IRS, AWFUL.

Terrible to deal with. Will not return calls, this IRS office is useless. 90% of what they do should be automated. Even Obama says so in his public speeches. Google could run our tax system more efficiently with 1000 people than the entire 100,000+ IRS employees do...Horrifically slow service and incompetent personnel. Doesn't the IRS sound like a review for a horrible restaurant? If only we could legally "Avoid this one at all costs." I filed when - February? And still no refund! Is there someway to get them to audit me? Because simply reminding them that they owe me $8000+ doesn't seem to be working.
