Their (10:30 service) worship band is easy to sing along with, picks songs you probably know, and sings on key. A surprisingly rare combo.
I noticed that most of the people there are thinner than I am. Perhaps it's a way of keeping out chubby folk. One lady was heavier than me and I cannot imagine the pain she must have been in. It was brutal for me and I don't exceede the cushion if I sit perfectly still. I suppose the chairs might also be a way to discourage pda. You won't be leaning against your husband's shoulder at THIS church.
The good:
Reviewing a church is weird, but f8nding ine is hard so I'll just mention some things that would be helpful to visitors like me.
The preaching. I so wanted to like the preaching here! In spite of everything I wanted to like this church enough to stay and start a chair fund. The first Sunday I came a missionary spoke - and it was good! Today, I left mid service. It was rambly and disconnected and the connections to the bible verses were loose or poorly explained. I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just couldn't get anything out of the preaching. Sorry ☹
Walking. I've never been to a church where people were so determined to not let anyone by them. I know that filling all the space around you, jumping into someone's path, and holding lengthy conversations in doorways are symptoms of an Indiana specific illness, but this church might be ground zero. I'm sure they're all nice people when you don't need to get anywhere.
They have a couple coffee tables with Toroni syrups and what looks like several coffee options. I couldn't get close enough to be sure.
Trinity Evangelical Free Church , it's amazing people are warming , trinity tweets you like family , loving every moment .
The bad:
Walking Monday - Friday on their track! I love it! So much better walking on carpet!
Those chairs. I don't know where they got them, but they are the WORST chairs I've ever sat on. Unless you sit perfectly centered and are not wider than the narrow cushion the metal legs dig into your fleshy legs.
