I called Dales auto service for an appointment to have a repair on my car. I chose Dales auto service from a recommendation from a friend. When I dropped my car off on the appointment time I asked for an estimate for an intake manifold gasket replacment. Dales auto service stated that to call them the next day at 3pm to talk about a diagnosis report before the repair was made (that I agreed to the prior day). When I called the next day at 3pm they said my car was done and I owed $374.33 for a water pump replacment and a thermostat replacment. I was not happy.... Dales auto service never contacted me to approve the repairs. I installed a new water pump prior to this 6 months ago and had a warranty on the existing part. To top it off, When I arrived to Dales auto service to talk about the excessive bill, he started swearing to me. READERS - DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR FACILITY. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The older gentleman that worked there today around noon (6-1-17)is a wonderful lifesaver! I was coming back home with my friend who has cancer from her treatment and I'll be darned if we didn't run out of gas! I'd been running late to get her there and was going to speedway when we ran out and coasted...into the parking lot of Dales. The young boy that was there didn't seem to interested in helping me but the older man went above and beyond...the tail end of my blazer was still in the road and my friend was flipping thinking we were going to get hit. The young man did push us up out of the road...thank you sir....but the other man not only provided me with a gas can he also drove a truck up, hopped out and told me to drive it down n get some gas...i was stunned! Stunned that karma actually does pay it forward becuz that older gentleman certainly didn't have to provide that for us...i had $15 on me but he wouldn't take any money..i gave him my name and number and told him that was good for an entire office cleaning free and I sincerely mean that! So so so impressed and warm heartened that good kind ppl are really and truly still out there...so thank you again kind sir! You are my hero today! God bless you and thanks again!
The best mechanical shop in town. Steve is one of the nicest guys you'll meet and is always willing to help where he can. Good people, Good service, Great place to take your vehicle to get fixed.
