But on a serious note, this is an okay school. If I were a teacher, I would grade it as a C The teacher are mostly pretty good.

Three school days later our son was given an ISS (In School Suspension) to finish the day. With an OSS (Out of School Suspension)for the next. All because during this lunch the same boy was bullying. The child was picking food off the ground and onto our sons plate. Then continued by pouring milk onto his plate. Our son did stand up and backhand the student but not until after warning the kid numerous times. Now both of our children know not to ever start a fight but by all means defend yourself when necessary. Our son was in the wrong for lying his hands on another but this was the second incident. Both boys were approached and originally sent to the office. The bully was called back by this faculty member and allowed to finish their lunch. However for some confusing reason our son was unable to have lunch again for a second time. By my count that equals out to no lunch for two out of three days. Our son then started his suspension immediately. The bully had a talking to and was returned back to class. As far as we are concerned and any parent can see. Bullying is bullying and equalness should be met. It comes in many forms other than physical. Navarre should know, all the different types/forms are listed in the handbook in case any faculty member forgot.

Sad excuse for a school but how high can expectations really be for the South Bend School Corporation. If you are going to have rules and regulations then standby them and abide by your policy. Zero tolerance for bullying sounds stern and strict in the handbook. It is apparent the handbook is to only give parents a false sense of security before releasing their child(ren) to incompetent faculty and a school with an ethnic curve.

"well, since you're a good student, you don't get yelled at"

Last week during lunch our son had his food taken away from him by another student. Our son went and told one of the faculty members. The faculty member failed to do anything correct about fixing the situation. Instead directed our son to sit back down and that he shouldn't have been horseplaying. He did not allow him to get another lunch. Our son only had breakfast that day and was not allowed to eat again until after practice.

Stop it Mateo and Grunt. this is the dankest school out there. you can't spell school without dank! Seriously! This is the dankest school out there. If you want to be dank come to this school. Vote me for president. Please come to this school. If not, your'er a normie. Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

It doesn't end there with their incompetence of responsibility. Our son couldn't practice that day after school and was sent to the office to have a ride pick him up. He was allowed to us the phone but only was able to leave a message. He then not knowing what to do and in a panic from everyone telling him, he could not be there. Without any supervision or anyone's knowledge who has authority, he left the school. He had nowhere to go except his aunt's who was the closest fifty minutes away. My wife called thirty minutes after receiving his message. Only to find out to her digression. The school had no knowledge of his whereabouts. Like any parent an instant panic came over. Phone calls were made in a desperate search to relocate him, by us while at work. Our son was lost for just under one hour. The only person who knew where he was, was himself. This raises many concerns. Why was a twelve year old the one calling and making the arrangements?

I have crippling depression...

The school has emergency contact cards. When any parent drops their child off in the morning we have the utmost confidence our children are in the best care and supervision. We are now second guessing everything when it comes to Navarre. Starting with their lack of commitment to our children's safety, care, education, and equalness. Equalness at the school is a problem and is ran on an ethnic curve as mentioned earlier. Don't believe it? Then go to South Bend School Corporation website, scroll to and click contact us. Then explain to us, along with everyone. Why out of all those numbers is there one specifically titled African American Student/Parent Services? Obviously and clearly there is still segregation happening at the public schools in South Bend but in a new way. All others can call the basic phone number, remain on hold, and continue waiting at the back of the line.

LaSalle can be a really good school to MOST students. Many of the reviews that are giving this school a terrible image, they say those things because they always cause trouble or get into a lot of trouble. I am one of the good students, and many will think

Alright, i should probably give a more detailed review, but that statement still stands, i despise this school. 5th grade: I was so excited for middle school, i thought, "this will be super cool." Haha, i was so wrong. I hated 5th grade, i had (a certain teacher) as my homeroom teacher. man she did not like me, so i did not like her. she made 5th grade quite terrible for me. and a "soul project" which was total bull and i hated it, it was like 8 billion questions long. 6th grade: "Gee, i hope this year won't be as bad" hah, wrong. i started to hate the school more and more. there are many bullies that no one pays any attention to, so watch out for that. that year i had ANOTHER teacher that didn't like me, (hooray) man, my grades plummeted, i wasn't expecting all the work that just pretty much randomly appeared and said, "yo i'm gonna make your life hard, so yeah" i ended up just doing terrible the first quarter, i dug a hole i couldn't get out of. i felt a little confused and angry. i had to work so much harder to get slightly better than mediocre grades. i was mad, like the whole year about my grades, but whatever, the year ended and i was so done, and then like in a fraction of a second, 7th grade, my current year. I'm doing pretty good so far because i have pretty good teachers except a certain one. i give this school a 2/10 because there are too little good teachers, a lot of teachers are mean and strict and create little fun. there is almost no attention to bullying, and it is extremely hard. if you want your kid to go here, go for it, i'm not stopping you, middle school sucks in any equation, but your kid will be worked extremely hard, so be ready, and good luck.

We have become completely infuriated with the school, the school corporation, and the system in general.

I, Tierney Ferguson have this to say. This school has its ups and it's downs, but overall the school is really good. You get a great education which is most important. Not the chicken nuggets. Another thing, students like to joke about having Crippling Depression. Stop, now. The school's principals are fine. Some trouble here and there but, otherwise fine. (Mr. Groves made a school rap.) The teachers are amazing. They all have their ways of teaching, and many bring there fun personality to the classroom. Personally, I liked my years at LaSalle. It's a great school and though many students give bad reviews, they give the reviews about really idiotic reasons. Like the poor food quality or the students. If the students are bothering you, ignore them or stand up to them. Not to call anyone out (Isaiah, Baraka, Mateo, Grant) They like to joke around. Don't take them seriously. Isiah has only been here for a year. 7th grade. He is now in 8th. All the people I mentioned are now in 8th. I agree with Leann. The school is fine. Look past all the stupid details and see that LaSalle isn't all that bad. I've been here for my entire middle school life. Fifth grade all the way through 8th. I'm started 8th grade a few weeks ago, though I'm exited for High School. I'm going to miss LaSalle. And haters that attend the school. Back off. Stop getting mad for stupid things.

That is what you want. Don't talk back to teachers, adults, or anyone working for the school. They are willing to make a BIG sacrifice to give their students education. That is the reason you are in school, to be educated, not make trouble and act like you don't really care about it. Yell at me if you want, but this school was great for the past 4 years. Yes, I did screw up a few times, but I just kept on pushing for higher grades and goals. The reason you are in this school is so that you can be smarter. If other kids aren't like that around you because they don't really know, then don't be like them. Push past the fact that they aren't as intelligent as you'd hope since this school is for smarter kids, just know that what you should worry about is your education. Once you realize that your education is really important for your future, then you know that you were meant to go to a school like LaSalle. LaSalle is honestly one of the best schools you could go to since there isn't a big threat or fights going on everyday like other public schools( no offense to those, but my cousin is really getting into those situations everyday.) Be happy that there are people willing to give up their quality time to have you kids smarter and educated. That is all I gotta say and my fingers are hurting now, so imma stop.
