Terrible customer service experience. Susan was the rudest person I have ever met, unhelpful, and just plain mean. I cancelled my next booking with AVIS because I do not want to run into Susan ever again. I gave it a two star because the car itself was decent.
My flight was delayed and I needed a car last minute and Avis came through same evening with the mobile app. The weekly rate was reasonable - pickup and drop off at South Bend was quick and easy. Agents were friendly and I got what I ordered.
I rented a car on last weekend. They didn't have the type of vehicle that I reserved. They had two weeks prior to let me know that the type of vehicle was unavailable. The lady who was working, Susan Solomon, was HORRIBLE to me. She spoke to me in a very demeaning/condescending manner. Her speech was extremely short and RUDE!!!! She didn't want to rectify the situation. She is a poor choice as a representative for your company. She needs to re-take customer service training courses again. I will never rent a vehicle for you AGAIN!!!
Reserved a full size SUV at least a week prior to the pickup date. I was given a Standard SUV but charged the same price. Never was I told that the one I reserved and paid for in advance was un-availalbe. I figured that what I received was what I rented until I examined my receipt after the return. I was indeed charged for a full size, but given the standard with no pricing adjustment or provided information. I called "Customer Service" to question this and after trying to explain it, was given an option, take a $70 credit or nothing. I took it but there is still a difference of $125 between what I reserved and what I was given. A donation I guess. Just a thought, if you are going to allow customers to pre-pay for rentals and reservations, at least let them have what they think they are renting or at least tell them and make an adjustment. Don't expect everyone to just shrug it off. It should have been $288.73 and not $484.23 . Quite a diference. The car itself wasn't bad, but it was dirty. As a matter of fact, I had to clean the inside of the windows since it had a nasty film on it. Thanks for showing me where not to rent from again. Enterprise gained a loyal customer on your behalf.
Very rude and mean customer service. Due to some delays I could not pick up my car on the scheduled day, so I had to reach my hotel by taxi and pick up the rental car by taxi the next day..all of this caused me stress, low energy level and worry...instead of being welcomed with an understanding smile and maybe getting a day discount, I was treated rudely, especially by a woman who seemed to enjoy my pain..I will never use Avis again
***UPDATE*** Sincerely apologize? If you cared about the customers who come to you for service, you wouldn't be getting negative reviews in the first place. Furthermore, I did call your "Customer Service" twice which is what lead me here. I honeslty wasted enough time with your company and calling will not result in anything. (Read Above)
